Greetings Ministry Partner,
This is your friend JJ from the North American Mission Board. It’s time for me to share your next step in getting ready for Crossover. You have one job—PREPARE.
Are you that person? You know, the person who likes to be prepared for every possibility under the sun? I confess that my wife is that person, but you didn’t hear it from me... When she leaves the house, she likes to have an umbrella in case it rains, a jacket in case it gets cold, sunscreen in case it gets sunny, bug spray in case there are mosquitoes, first aid kit in case the kids get injured, medicine in case we get sick, etc. Before you know it, we are carrying around a boatload of stuff, which drives me crazy. But I must admit that when the unknown becomes known, we are always prepared, and I suddenly find myself being grateful for her thorough preparation. So, preparing in advance is a good discipline, especially when it comes to a mission trip. Your preparation for this mission trip should be both intensive and extensive. If you are leading a team, then preparation is even more important because you are not only responsible for yourself but also others.
